We offer a range of classes to provide for all ages and abilities. We keep class sizes small so that all our students receive the highest quality tuition. We believe that children achieve their very best in smaller classes, where they can receive plenty of individualised feedback.
On this page you can view an outline of the group classes that we offer. In addition to these, we can also provide 1-1 private lessons. If you are interested in these, please email us to discuss.
Tiny Toes Pre-School Ballet: (2.5 years – 4.5 years)
Our Tiny Toes classes are our initial introduction to ballet, and are suitable for children aged 2.5-4.5 years approximately. The children develop their physical strength, learning vital movement skills such as jumping, turning, hopping and crawling, all of which will put them in good stead for the future. Their imagination is nurtured with the help of inspiring music and a large range of props. They also learn how to cooperate with others, listening to one another and taking turns, crucial skills to be developed before they start school.
Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus Classes: (4.5 years +)
Our students begin more formal ballet training at approximately 4.5 years of age. Our classes follow the syllabus of the Royal Academy of Dance, an internationally recognised awarding body. The syllabus is well-structured to ensure that students develop strong technique and performance, in a manner that is appropriate for their stage of physical and cognitive development. The students progress through the Pre-Primary and Primary syllabi, before moving on to the graded syllabus for older students. At each level, the students work towards RAD Examinations and/or Class Awards. We encourage all students to take part in these when invited by their teacher, as we feel that they provide students with an excellent sense of achievement. However, they are not compulsory and we do not enforce that students take exams if they prefer not to.
All new students are invited to a FREE taster class. Upon application, we consider age and any previous dance experience to allocate your child an appropriate level in which to undertake a trial. During this lesson, the teacher will ensure that the class is suitable for your child, before they are permanently enrolled.
